RE: 90s t5 60s mustang
Hey,
I bought a T-5 from Texas Motor Sports thats rated at about 400hp and 400 lbs of torqe, with a T-5 bell housing and a UPR short throw shifter for about $1200. I'm in the process of gathering up parts to install all this in my 67 Mustang with a 289 and a c-4 auto. Last night I ordered a clutch fork, and a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch from Jegs, but thats all I have so far. By the time its all said and done, I'm expecting to have spent about $2500 for all the parts I need, but you could possibly cut some corners if you wanted to keep the cost a little lower.
Here is one link I have found particularly helpful

Send me a message if there's anything I can help you with or if you come up with any cool links, cuz I'm still on the hunt for more info myself.

I have been thinking of doing this conversion. Then I thought, I'll just get a top loader and cut my costs way down. I think it would be cool if someone that has done the conversion could list every single part and cost to help the undecided.

I just finished the process of installing a T-5 into my '66 Fastback. I went with a used T-5 out of a Cobra that I got a really nice deal on. I also installed a hydraulic clutch from JMC. While I don't know a complete parts list, most of the popular Mustang supply places (Laurel Mountain, Mustangs Plus, Mustang Unlimited) all offer complete conversion kits that are pretty thorough.

Hi, I saw that you`ve ordered a CF clutch. Congrats!
Be sure to buy a clutch alignment tool as well, since they are not included with the Centerforce clutch kits. I didn`t know this when I bought mine, and was set back a couple of days because of that damned little 7$ tool[:@]
