I had some vibration in my 66 and installing a T5 seemed to make it more noticeable. Today I swapped out the hard rubber tranny mount for a stock replacement from NAPA and it made quite a difference. Wind the motor up to 4500-5000 and much better. Not a one size fits all for people, but the mount was $8 and well worth a try.
