yeah for the rear you will need an 8inch or 9 inch rear axle with 5 lugs and the correct spacing for the spring perches and axle length..

as for the front you will need new spindles setup for 5 lug, all new steering linkage brake lines etc etc

You can probably order a set of 5 lug 25 spline axles from someone, but I've not seen that done. Most changeovers are done with the entire 8" or 9" axle assembly from a V8
As for the front hubs, the 5 lug V8 hubs and backing plates will fit onto your existing spindle. Additionally, you will have to change all backing plates and brake assemblies to the 10" V8 stuff, as I don't think you can get 9" 5 lug drums.
Best,
Al

the 5 lug back plates and brakes will not fit on a sixxer spindle...i think you are confusing disc brakes swapping over to drum v8 spindles AL

honestly id go this route http://discbrakeswap.com/ buy the disc brake kit complete with v8 spindles and then you just need the steering stuff to do the swap up front..

No, no such axles exist.

Why do you want to do this?

I my be reading this totally wrong on the front brake advice?

The facts are, there is no difference in 6 cylinder, and V8 Drum front spindles. ALL/EVERY 6 cylinder, and V8 Drum brake cars in 67 68 69 received the same spindles on the production line, it was the dress that was different.

6 Cylinder received small backing plates, smaller shoes, smaller cylinders, and of course 4 bolt/smaller drum, V8 cars received the 10", 5 bolt pieces.

To change a 67 68 69 Drum Brake car to 5 Bolt, simply strip the spindle of the 6 cylinder pieces, bolt on the V8 pieces.

Now Disc Brakes. To put the 67 4 Piston per caliper K/H Front Disc brakes on these 67 68 69 Drum Brake Equipt cars-spindles, Strip the spindle, BOLT ON the K/H 4 Piston Disc Brakes as all 67 Mustangs, Shelbys had.

You need to get an entire rear end assembly, hopefully from another Mustang or Cougar, 1967 to 1970, due to the spring perch and overall width.

What I did was to find someone who was asking questions about going to a 9" rearend and buying their 8" after they made the leap.
