Default 67 to 70 high back seat conversion

Can I switch out my 67 low back seats for 1970 high back seats? Are they completely compatible with 1967 seat tracks and brackets. Also as another option has anyone bought the aftermarket racing seats that sell for around $200.00 pair. Are they really compatible and comfortable. I am doing route 66 in a few months and I want to be comfortable. Please advise

It has been 15 years since I took the seats out of a 72 or 73(?) and bolted them into my 67 and I don't remember having to swap the seat tracks.

I have '69/70 high back buckets in my '67 and had zero issues. I actually did swap the seat tracks, but only because the donor seat brackets were rusty and full of sand. The two sets of tracks were identical.

I'm in the process of upgrading to 1969 Mach 1 high backs. They fit perfectly but the new foam does sit a few inches higher than the old '67 low backs.
