Default 65 seatbelt retrofit

Has anyone converted 65 mustang seatbelts to 3 point? I just bought a 65 for my daughter and wanted to update the seatbelts. Any help would be great.

Thanks

It's not an easy task, but has been done many times. Here is a great tech article on how to do it. http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/S.../seatbelt.html

My parents bought me a kit for my 67 Mustang when I first got the car, but I never installed it. I haven't seen any kits that are tailored just for the Mustang, mine is just a universal lap belt to should belt conversion. Its still new in the box, and it looked like a lot or work to put in, so I never did it. But if you are interested I'll sell it to you pretty cheap. If you want real safety though, the best thing to go with is some racing seats that are meant for a shoulder belt.

Thanks for the info. Seems like it would be easier to install the convertable one's.
