Replacing Brake system on a 65
#11
Thank you everyone for responding to my question, lot of good info. I decided to go with the SSBC kit that Groho mentioned but I found that it was cheaper to buy it through mustangs unlimited. This is the kit I bought http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/Ite...&T1=A1204%2001 but I have a question about it. Some of the sites linked by people said I needed to upgrade to 5 lug rims but this kit said it fit the 4 lug kit already on the car. Will I have to change anything out to get this to work with the current wheels/rims on the front of the car?
Noobish question I know but I'd rather be thought of as a noob and get an answer than to stay quiet and not have all the pieces I need to get my brakes changed. Thank you in advance. =D

Hey...if you haven't bought that conversion kit yet....DO check out the kits from CSRP in Texas. They have good custom-made conversion kits for early Mustangs for around $550....ALL necessary parts included. Just Google "CSRP brakes"...you'll find them. Labor (if you don't do it yourself) shouldn't be over $500-600...so the dude who quoted you 3 grand should've included some Vaseline with the job!
