I always found Edelbrock easier to dial in. But I bet there's some old guys on here that will weigh in.

Holley 650 double pumper w/mechanical secondaries is my weapon of choice.

There's no such thing as a "Holley Autolite".

The Autolite 4100 was perhaps the finest 4V carb ever made. 1-piece body, and 4 annular discharge venturis put it way ahead of any other carb even now.

These two features lone provide near leakproof operation, and maxumum atomization of fuel for power and fuel economy.

I would definitely go with the Autolite 4100. We have one, and it has never given us any trouble, and it gives us somewhere around 18mpg, while still making the car move when we want it to.

Driving it around or wide open throttle use (Drag racing?)

The holly works in WOT situations, (I guess) but I haven't ever riddin in, or driven a car with one that works as crisp as the 4100 or the edelbrock due to the annular venturies they have. For me there is no decision, get a 4100 or an Edelbrock, but stay around 500 CFM or less, if you listen to many on the interweb that tout a 600CFM you will not be getting the best performance your motor can produce..

Also, I wanted to throw out that not every intake works with the 4100 carbs due to air leaks at the base. Be sure to pair the intake to the carb if you are intake shopping.

I get about 13-14 mpg when I drive it like I have sense. The Holley definitely prefers WAO over idling about town.

Holly 4 barrel 600 cfm

thanks for your times, i think i will go with the autolite 4100 !
