Default 1966 gt 2-1/2" exhaust

Does any one know if they make a 2-1/2" trumpet for a GT ?

Doubtful. It would be very hard to squeeze in because the knock out is so close to the gas tank. I've considered several times enlarging my knock outs because I can't find decent tips that fit so close to the tank. But then I'de have to make custom trim rings too, or I guess you could go with no trim rings.

If i remeber correctly, i had my exhaust 2 1/2" over the axle and cut the trumpet back far enough so the o.d. measured at 2 1/2".The actual louvered trumpet was more flush to the valance(i dont like when they stick out.

JBA kit 40-2653 stainless steel 2-1/2" exit through the valance. Thanks for the input. This system looks like the one. I'll post during and after instillation .
