C 4 tranny mount removal
can anyone give me instructions as to how to replace the tranny mount on my 66. I have just replaced the ujoints and would like to replace the mount as well. thanks in advance for the help. ( I had a vibration at around 50 mph on up and getting worse as I sped up. It did help greatly with the u joints replaced but still have some vibration so the mount is next.) for anyone that may also have an opinion here is how my vibration goes as I can describe it. going down a long hill and my car levels out on a coast at around 50 mph you feel the vibration but you dont have to gain speed to make it worse all you have to do is slightly touch the gas pedal a little and it will really vibrate and will instantly reduce when letting off the gas.

Support the trans with a jack, blocks of wood, ex-wife's photo albums, etc.
Drop the rear cross member and remove the trans mount.
Reverse on installation.
Sounds like a bent drive shaft maybe.
Check it for dents.

thanks Boogie, while I had it jacked up installing ujoints I cranked it and let it spin with rear in air and it started making a heavy loping vibration so I shut it down. no one was there that I trusted to do the same while I looked at what was happening. going to take it to my good mechanic and let him give it a go over. ( after I install trans mount)
