similar experience here. i asked some questions that he really didn't answer. some responses seemed canned.

he was always willing to put out a laundry list of parts to buy though. spring packages that would have required extra machine work, timing chains incompatible with my setup...

Ed is extremely busy, and doesn't give his number out except to even a select few customers. Typically, unless he thinks you're going to actually spend money (or you have) he won't answer all sorts of questions. That's the reason he doesn't list a phone number, people used to call and talk him up asking all sorts of things, and then never buy anything and it wastes his time (which he doesn't have since he works about 10-15hrs a day 7 days a week).

And sometimes he takes a long time to respond.

the fords do not use kink bar lifters if yiu use the orig style lifter retainer. the retainer comes with the retrofit cams to put rollers on a non roller bolck. i would not use comp lifters, they have probs.

for non rollers i woiuld use crane high revs for rollers i might use elgins if you need link bars or ford racing, anything but comps.

Get the cam from Woody. He will install it and degree it for almost nothing when he builds the shortblock. He knows what works.

Fordstrokers in the 5.0 section. Woody is the owner.

What is the problem with the comp lifters Barnett?..I am using them along with many others with no issues?
