New headlights for 66...which ones?
I picked up a rock and it center punched the DS headlight.
For a 66 is there a brand or type of headlight that is awesome and since im changing headlights I should pick up?
Thanks

Drivers Side...my bad
Im more concerned about actual performance...There are lots of different lights out there Im hoping someone can vouch for a specific one that they thought really kicked ***. As in good brightness, good light pattern over all good quality.
Thanks again

hi;
well i've used a couple and they worked fine but unfortunately i hate halogens so i'm a bad person to ask and i don't want to recommend something you might not like since the're kinda pricy. someone here should have a suggestion for you though.

I like my Wagner BriteLite bulbs. Sylvania XtraVisions are equivalent. They offer a slightly brighter/wider beam than stock and seem to work fine for me.
Rewiring the headlights to run through a relay as opposed to putting all the power through the HL switch is a good idea as well. I haven't done it yet myself, but it removes a lot of the resistance from the stock wiring, providing full charging voltage to the headlights.

I wired my lights via relay and it made a huge diff. It was easy and cheap.
I also picked up a set of lights with LED halos that I like. They are a little faggy but I like them.
I use the sylvania build and they are really bright.
I did not like the tri bars. they have glass lenses that are weak. one little pebble and they shatter. I went through 3 in the first year I had my car on the road here in the desert.

You realize that the stock system runs all of the power through the HL switch, right? That makes the HL switch a failure point. Patching a relay into the wiring significantly cuts down on the power going through the HL switch, putting all of the power through the relay. Just make sure to get a good relay and you'll be fine. I'd rather change an easily-accessible relay than the HL switch any day.

Yes.
The HL switch has run without fail for about 50 years. Add a relay now I have HL switch and relay to fail
The relays in a Porsche I sometimes drive that cost 35,000 new in 88 fail once and a while.
The HL relay on my buddies diesel truck took crap after about 4 years.
That said there will come a day when I switch to a relay system...but today is not that day
