Key won't work??

It's been an intermittent problem for awhile now, but it's got to the point where the key doesn't work at all. Here's what it's been doing, turn the key and the car starts, right? Well, sometimes when I turn the key to start it, nothing happens, at all. The car doesn't turn over or anything, just like I didn't even try to start it. It was just doing it every once and a while but now it's permanent, key won't work at all to start the car, I have to turn the key on power and start it from the starter solenoid. So, I bought a Scott Drake ignition switch and installed it, installation went without a hitch, still nothing :-( So, I replaced the starter solenoid and still no change. Any ideas??

Thanks in advance!!

Time to start checking all of the electrical connections.
Check everything, from the battery terminals to the ignition switch.

For any one who has this problem in the future, it was the neutral safety switch. Wires burned through from hitting the header, re-wired, good to go...

If it was the NSS wouldn't placing the key in the "On" position still allow for power to the gauges...I was under the impression that you had no power to gauges...not the case?

That wasn't the case...
