Yeah my radiator has inlets on different sides,they are not both on the same side and I believe when I replaced my thermostat it was a 180 or 185. I wish my fan could be operated by me. It just comes on at different times

The rust colored additive is a stop leak additive.

hello;

a mechanical gauge is best if you have overheating probs.

an electric pump will not cure overheating probs only a clean system, big rad and lots of air flow will.

chinese rads hold less water than us made rads.

OK, have drove in 2 times and the same things happening! The motor is great and not running hot,but the transmission after driving a very short time is not wanting to shift to second gear and is getting real hott... I got out of the car and could feel the heat from under the car. This was after only driving maybe 10 miles or so. I'm gonna take it and get the radiator lines checked that go to tranny. I have had a lot of dirt dobber's around and under my car and someone told me they will clog up the hole on the transmission housing. I replaced the thermostat a while back, so I'll let them check those lines and I figure with an old radiator maybe some of the rust/gunk clogged them
