Default 65 striker door shim

Hi. We just recently replaced the door striker on our 65 fastback, and now we are starting to have trouble shutting the door again. A few guys looked at it and say we need a shim on the striker. Anyone know where to get these? I found one for a 67-70, would it fit? Thanks

Also, would it require longer screws?

hello;

i have not seen new ones separately, only with a new latch. you can get used ones from the link below or from any old ford in the junk yard.

you do not need longer screws.

you can just use washers for now if you don't slam the door.
