Default T-5 swap questions

I searched around and couldn't find my answers...going from a c4 to a T-5

1-Can I just buy a clutch pedal and put it into my existing power brake support bracket?

2-When I add a cable will this cause problems with my long tubes and power steering?

3-Is the modern driveline cable kit everything I need or do I need a spring to return the pedal?

4-Can I reuse my starter with a 157 tooth flywheel?

Clutch cable setups usually don't work with most long tube headers.

yeah you can buy a pedal but it has to be from an earlier mustang. if your desperate though you can get a fox body pedal and weld a bolt on so it will fit in the pedal bracket. if you go clutch cable you should get an adjustable quadrant kit.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Steeda-555-7040-Clutch-Cable-with-Aluminum-Quadrant-Adjustable-Ford-Mustang-Kit-/291233543779?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43cedf3663&vxp=mtr

the cable will run very close to your headers but with some clamps and maybe heat insulation it ll be fine.

lube up your clutch cable regularly with motor oil to keep it smooth.

edit* just an fyi about the adjuster nut for the cable that goes in the firewall, depending on where you put it most likely it ll start to tear though the fire wall. if you put a square piece of sheet metal around it to spread out the pressure it does wonders.

WHEN i DID A T-5 CONVERSION FROM A t-10, and yes I know it's a tad different from what you are doing since I was already manual but I left my factory z-bar set up in and used a fox body bellhousing with a mod to the clutch fork mounting and used stock starter.

Just spend the money on a McLeod hydraulic setup with a Wilwood .700 bore m/c and be done forever.
