Rear pony interior ?

Ok, If i Buy pony interior seat covers do i have to replace the rear seat foam? I know i have to replace the front. So does anybody know if there is a difference between the two?

i appologize that i do not know too much about 65-66 pony interiors. i do know that for 67-68 mustangs rear seat foam were unchanged, but did hold the buttons. If 65-66's are anything alike i dont think you will need to change out the foam, if you want to make the foam feel better as well as look better, i suggest getting a steamer and runing it over the old foam, for some reason this makes the foam really puffy again!

And, put your new covers in the clothes dryer to get them warm before stretching them over the seat. That helps them stretch easier, and gets out the wrinkles.

I had a 66 mustang with an original pony interior. I put my new seat skins in the sun for about four hours to make them plyable. I think the only difference is that the pony has some metal rods that are hog ringed in place through the buns to make the appropriate creases and indentions. My new seat covers did not include the rods.

Other than the seat fabric pattern, the actual seat, springs, and foam should all be the same. Go ahead and replace the foam. I think it'll be worth it.[sm=massbounce.gif]
I just wanted to use those smilys they looked goofy haha

When I replaced the seat covers on my 65, there was a burlap cloth on top of the back seat under the cover. Mine was about to fall apart, so I went to a feed store and got a bag of feed that was in a burlap bag and put that new burlap on. I guess there could be a source for that burlap other than using a feed sack, but at the time I didn't think of that. "A man has to do, what a man has to do." :D
