Default What is this carb hose

Hey folks, just purchased another 66 coupe and am going through it. Car runs fine, but trying to figure out what this cut rubber hose is coming off the back of the carb? Copper goes to header but this one is just hangi

ng. Should I cap it off to keep debris out?
Eng 289 and I believe it is an autolite 2100 but I am not sure, no markings that I can see.

Thanks for the help. Should I stick a plug in it or cap it off, or does it not really matter?
Thanks again

it will suck a tiny bit of unfiltered air so you can plug it.
