I have a 66 l6 convertible that is giving trouble.

I just did an overhaul on the c4 tranny last month, reinstalled it and the car went great.

Today, while driving the transmission started acting up.

-rough gear changes
-then wouldn't up shift
-then would only move by putting down the pedal with a shudder.
-now only moves in Low (with hesitation) and reverse (perfect).

When I installed it first and put it in Drive there was a slight clunk of it engaging, now there's no noise at all.

It seems like it wants to move in move in "green dot" and "white dot position" but doesn't.

there's also a few bubbles on the dipstick.

Don't know what to do next !!! Help !!!

I would take it back to the shop that did the transmission. Its hard to diagnose something that someone else did the work on. Just be certain it is a trans issue

Sounds like the poster did the trans,not a shop?
I'd drop the pan and look for bad stuff in the pan.If the pan looks good,I'd go through the valve body,looking for stuck items.
