Default Addco 1" sway bar

I just purchased an Addco 1" front sway bar for my 66 Mustang to replace the small stock one. I tried to install it last night and mounted the front bushing. I'm having problems installing the endlinks. The distance between the lower control arm and sway bar is minimal. I can push the sway bar up and it hits the frame of the car. I contacted tech support but they don't answer (go figure). Anyone have issues with installing this sway bar. I was told to mount the endlinks first to align and then mount the front first. May try that tonight. Any suggestions would be helpful.

sway bars you usually either
A) finger tight on the mounting bushings until the links are secured or
B) leave the bushing mounts completely unmounted until the links are attached.

Are you trying to do this with the suspension just hanging? Suspension geometry could be just enough off to make it a PITA to align correctly while the suspension is just hanging (unloaded). Maybe load the suspension up by using jacks or two raised jack stands under the control arms to bring them up a bit so you change the geometry.
