Oof. What kind of tachometer is it?

Ford wires their tach as part of the circuit instead of reading across it like Brand X and aftermarket tachs. I also was running the DSII setup in my 67 and I wound up running new wires separately from the factory harness. That schematic you have there isn't gonna cut it as far as wiring a classic factory tach goes.

Here is a link

I am running a Factory tach, so mi need to know where i need to run the lead that usually goes to the coil. The ground is no trouble but the other lead is my concern as I'm not sure where it must go to? on the duraspark 11. the factory tach only has the two leads..

I sold the fastback so I can't check it for absolute certainty but looking at the schematic I posted it looks like one side goes to the negative side of the coil and the other goes to the distributor.

I found out I have to use a adapter to use factory tach, thanks to a guy that rebuilds them to work with msd ignition...
