check valve, tapered pin fell out
So, I finally get up enough energy to drop the C4 to finally tackle the transmission oil leak around the bell housing. It was leaking past the lower bellhousing bolt threads since the large round seal wasn't working as designed. Now, when I pull the front pump (decided to replace all seals up there) a tapered pin, shaped like a bullet fell out. It had to be in one of the three oil passages at the bottom. I don't know which one it was in and if it should even be there. I searched the internet for hours and found someone with the same issue and the same question, but no resolution. It is a 1966 C4 the pump housing C7AP 7A109-A, came originally in a Falcon (66) and my 66 Mustang has a 200 I6. Any help, is very very appreciated. Thanks, WW
