Default Console warpage 66 Mustang

My console seems to bow down in the middle. It probably has something to do with the hot Texas summers I guess. Has anyone seen this before and does anyone know of a way to straighten them? You can see the dip in the top and a little bulge out of the side
Its hard to see but there is a gap between the console and counter top
You can see the distortion of the sides. Also it is cracked at the front of the shifter opening.

heat gun and some weight. Take it easy, don't over heat and melt the plastic, then use the blower/no heat function on the gun to cool the plastic down.

those are pretty chinsey to start with, so they are easy to distort. I would make a jig then heat it with the heat gun. brick is a good weight for forming.

Default Console

As far as I know it original. It doesn't have For on it anywhere. The heat gun help some but I am catious about over doing it. I think I got it pretty close. I'll send pictures when I get it back together. Concentrating on mechanicals now. Next step is to change the trans fluid and filter and then the brake system.
