A/C compressor - York/Tecumseh style '67
Need to know dimensions of the case across the lower four mounting holes, front to back. I'm preparing to start this engine on a test stand, so need to have the water pump bolts tight, but would like to have all brackets in place so when I'm ready for the compressor, I can just drop it in place. The vehicle is a basket case I'm helping a friend put together. The brackets are there, but the compressor is missing. Anyone know what this measurement is? I'm guessing it's around 4 5/8".

ok, i'm confused. you do not need the dimensions because the holes in the bracket the compressor mounts on are obviously the same dimensions as the holes in the compressor. The bracket in your photo is not correct for an early mustang compressor. It looks like one for rotary compressor.

I know GM went to 4 cyl rotary compressors when they fazed out the 6 cyl axial compressors a few decades back. Did not know Ford used rotary compressors. Do you have a photo of a Ford rotary? Do you know where I could go to get the dimension I'm looking for? Even with a Ford part # (C3AZ-19703-F) google is no help.
