Default 1966 aftermarket instrument bezel install

Ready to assemble a Scott Drake instrument bezel to the instrument cluster and am concerned about using stock original 1/8 inch screws and screwing them into the new smaller bezel holes which are 7/64th inch in diameter. Am I going to break the hole housings if I use the original screws? It appears that the stock screws were self tapping for plastic, but got to say I need some reassurance that I am ok with using the original screws in the new bezel. Any comments will be helpful about how to proceed.

We're talking a gnats *** difference, right? You're not building a baby grand so I'll bet dimes to doughnuts you'll be just fine. But if it bugs you, try to thread one in slowly until your comfortable that it won't blow apart. Make sure you're threading the screw into the hole nice and square and not off kilter.
