actually i have seen a beefed up I6. if u go to streetfire.net look up 66 mustang. their is a I6 that has been fitted with the turbo.....pretty sweet actually

well you'll have to get a front sump pan, and a few other changeovers, like i think a different water pump. CHP has balanced and blueprinted shortblocks with any stroker combo you want already installed check out coasthigh.com when you get a chance, that's who I'm going with, they also make turnkeys. other places you may want to check out is mustangengines.com
I was thinking of installing a serpintine belt system, if so do I still need a new water pump? Sorry, I have not done much Ford work prior to now, and I am still a bit unsure about the SBF.

well with the serpentine kit I think you need what a reverse flow water pump not sure what all the FRPP turn key motors come with. but I think last time i checked summit and FRPP web pages it lists the stuff you have to use to use it in a classic.

thanks for that link... apparently with a turbo you can get into the 13's with a 6.... makes me wanna build one =)

can a 300 be crammed into the older stangs or is it just too big?

actually their is another one on the site too of a 68 6cyl. just do "68 mustang". that ones better cuz it shows the engine....pretty wicked
