Yep I don`t know any more, use to enjoy working on these cars. There was a time when you did`nt have to deal with people half way around the country. Gota admit still enjoy working on the car , but dealing with these mustang outfits is gettin old. I think they have pretty well sold out.

Hell they sell about as much parts as your local ford dealer would carry but they don`t have any valid history as far as fitment. application. They tell you it will work, they tell you they ar looking at some spec sheet, turns out it is all bull!!!! to get the part out the door.

done that , also put my bank on them, visa that is. I also went thru ups. As long as they are making a buck you can`t get there attention. that is when you don`t live in there neighborhood.

I went and bought a new flywheel from the local parts store for my 87 Mazda rx-7 w/89 gt 5.0 t5 tranny...... My question is will my (old) 158 tooth and (new) 157 tooth flywheel work with the same starter? I don't want to just try it as I know I can seriously damage my new flywheel. Any input is greatly appreciated!

The 158 and 157 tooth flywheel will in fact work with the same starter. I was hesitant on trying to start mine on a 157 tooth after researching for a couple hours and still being unsure. But I took out the 158 and put in the brand new 157 and it fired right up with no weird noises. Just wanted to clear that up for in doubt like I was! This was the forum that gave me the courage to go and try it. Thanks fordboy! Happy wrenching people!

Lol. Just trying to keep as much info out there for the ford fans! Couldn't find out if it would work for sure so I went for it! It worked
