Is there a way to repair tears in a convertible top?

If it's a small simple rip an upholstry shop might be able to glue a patch on it that would't look too obvious.. what kind of rip is it? how big? Where is it?

Theres one right near the top of the windshield and one towards the back aproxx. 2 inches long

I have a small 1/4 inch slice on my top near the rear. There is a Doctor Viynl(sp) in my area that I have good things about, do you think he could patch it without it leaking?

you can sew it up, but really its going to take a new top for it to look right

new top ftw...just had the vinyl replaced on my 97 vert for $400 at a local upholstery shop in SoCal....looks brand new

That was a GOOOOD price. It is like 1200 in VA, but that is with a white canvass(Spelling???) top
