1994 CONVERTIBLE HEEEEELP

Ok I've seen lots of posts concerning the sagging side rails on 1994 - 2004 Mustangs. AND NO ANSWERS. What gives? you can't tell me there isn't a way to fix this issue and there's no-one out there who knows how to "get r dun"... c'mon Pony UP... How do you take care of the sags in the side rails. In my case the top was put on new by a shop in the Dallas area and they didn't do too good a job... lol HELP PLEASE Thanks in advance, Doug

Hey guess what? I found my own answer! Actually I used "justanswer" as well as my own research to figure it out. So here's the deal... the rear side rail was bent down. This was caused by putting the top up and down w/o using the motor. It's not hard to fix. I built a tool using a beint piece of 7/16 metal about 2 inch wide and 8 inch long. Drilled a hole in the middle and one in the rear side rail in the middle of the bend. Using a fine thread bolt, and nut then tightening as needed to straighten out the bend. The rear rail is not very rigid and I would imagine alot of them are bent. Also using the instuctions from the manual (I got from "justanswer") I was able to adjust the rest of the problems out... COOl.... write me back if you need further help ckya dj
