Default Hello from Germany and Q in how spacious a Mustang Convertible is

Hi all

I'm Sven from Germany. I drive a Lotus Evora S over here but for my planned vacation to the US in August, with a >3000 miles road trip I thought of renting a truly American icon, the Mustang Convertible. Hertz has some attractive offers.

However, the car must be capable of fitting our luggage for a 2.5 week vacation, and that will include 2 sets of golf clubs in a travel bag.

Trunk space will be fine for two larger trolleys plus 2 smaller backpacks, have seen some vids on YouTube on that topic. Wonder whether the golf bag travel bag will fit onto the back seats, ideally without taking the driver / woods out.

What do you guys think? Or should I better rent something like a Suburban, with space not being an issue, V8 engine and it is a car you rarely see over here in Europe (too big compared to what we usually drive, but firs well into the Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado trip we plan). Other suggestions also welcome.

TIA

Best
Sven

Guten Tag!!!! Welcome to the forum. What part of Germany? I'm in Hohenfels (near Nurnberg)...Also, if it's just two of ya'll, all should fit in the trunk and rear seats. Haben Sie eine gute und sichere Reise in den Vereinigten Staaten!!!

I'm from the Frankfurt area. Good news if the golf language can be stored at the back seats. And yes, it's only my spouse and me.

Does someone has a pic of the backseats? The official Ford homepage is silent on that topics, interior pics are more focused on the front.

Not the best pic, but just to give you a general idea of what you'll be working with:

Unfortunately, this pic is not coming up. Have googled some and even seen one which suggested that the back is foldable, even for the convertible.

sorry about that. But with you and your wife, there should be more than enough room for luggage utilizing the trunk and rear seats. When I get back to Germany in about 2 weeks, the wife and I will be taking a trip to Rugen and Dresden Germany...

I've never been on Rügen, but Dresden is lovely. Make sure you visit the "Grünes Gewölbe" (Green Vault) and reserve your tickets NOW via web. It is worth it!!! Best cakes in town are available in the Cafe Toskana next to the "Blue Wonder" bridge. Frauenkirche is also a must, but even more impressive if you have seen the ruin 20 years ago. Have fun in Dresden!
