Was putting top up when it stopped approximately 3 inches from full close, rocked top switch several times and all of sudden went dead. Top wont move power windows wont move and engine will not fire. Dont know if it is spark or fuel but engine just spins. Help

sounds like some sort of electrical issue. maybe a short somewhere or something. the engine not firing and the windows/top not working shouldnt really have anything in common, but its possible. i would post this in one of the tech sections (not convertible) so that it gets more views and you have a better chance at getting an answer.

I'm thinking grounds. First check your battery connections and go from there.

Car has aftermarket (Viper) alarm and theft control, wondering if this could be problem. Checked all fuses and disconnected battery for 30 minutes.
