95 Mustang only blows hot and through defrost vents only

The vent selector works off of vacuum pressure. Look for a thin plastic tube coming off a junction block above the brake booster in the engine bay. That tube is what supplies the vacuum for the vent selector to change vent positions. They are known to get brittle and break due to weather/heat/age. The temp issue is a separate problem.
