Water spots...

Just wondering if anyone knows a good way to get rid of water spots that have built up. I'm using Meguiar's NXT liquid wax but when I'm done buffing I can still see water marks in the right light. Suggestions?

If it's surface residue, clay will generally work. Also white vinegar left to soak a few minutes. If that doesn't work, try a scratch remover.

If it looks concave (like a depression), it's probably due to hard water droplets or acid rain that were hit by the sun or otherwise caused the paint to get etched. A scratch remover may help minimize them, but some such water spots, if extreme, will never come out unless you hit so deep you start removing the clearcoat -- and then you've got other problems, so be careful.

Good luck!
