Condensation Inside Deck Lid "Gas Cap" Emblem
We had a little rain recently and when it stopped raining I noticed a significant amount of condensation had formed inside of the faux gas cap emblem on the rear deck lid. It really makes the emblem look horrible. After a closer inspection, there does not seem to be any obvious gaps or cracks in the emblem that would allow water inside, so I am not sure how/why this happened. Later on, I decided to look around online and I found a replacement emblem that will run me @ $80-$85, which seems a bit “spendy”.
So, I was wondering if anyone might have an easy way to remove the condensation from inside the faux gas cap? Also, to prevent this from happening again after the next rain, or weekly car wash, I was also wondering if anyone knows how I can somehow re-seal the emblem?
Thanks in advance!
