Eagle One Surface Prep mitt
 

On some show about detailing cars, I saw this Autogeek item (http://www.autogeek.net/nanoskin-aut...ine-grade.html) but being a cheapskate, I didn't want to spend $50 to find out if it worked or not. So I went looking for a similar product & found this one by Eagle One (https://www.eagleone.com/mitt) @ 1/2 the price @ Advance Auto Parts.

Tried it out today on the wife's Accord as it was in serious need of a detail. The mitt works as simply as described however, it took me 30 minutes to do the car, not 10. If you're doing a car in 10m w/this item, you ain't doing a decent job. Then I had to wipe off the excess detail spray so add another 10m onto the process. Still way easier than a clay bar tho! It worked as described and now I'm glad I didn't spend $50 on the Autogeek item. The oxidation lifted up quickly and easily and waxing the car was easier. The paint was really looking good by the time it was all done.

So if you do your own detailing, I can give this product a thumbs up. Good deal for the price too.

It took you so long because your not using as it is intended to be used. It takes me less then 10 minutes to do even a large vehicle. It's called a wash mit because you use it when you are washing the vehicle which is the time saving factor of this. I follow up a 2 bucket method wash with a second wash using the Nanoskin version of this. There should be no need to have to clean up any detail spray or anything other then just having to dry the car off. And you should be very careful with this product or clay as you will likely mar the paint if your not going to at least polish the car.

Read the instructions on the package. They're pretty clear & simple and it states not to do what you just described.

Well if you not happy with the process from the cheap version of this product you should consider spending the extra money for the Nanoskin version which is used exactly as I described.
