I've had my car about and year and there is a spot on the plastic right where the window goes up when close the door that came out of nowhere and its white. I don't know what caused it and haven't been able to wipe it off. Any easy fixes would be great. Thans.

You could try a product like Mother's Back to Black. Which really is more of a bandaid than a fix. Most likely you'll need to replace it if you really want it looking right.

I've fixed a lot of problems with "toothpaste" using it as a very fine rubbing compound! Good Luck!

It almost appears that a harsh chemical effected this area, but it is hard to tell without really seeing it. I would try picking up a bottle of Einszett Plastik Reinginger Plastic Deep Cleaner. This is a great product for cleaning any of the interior and exterior plastics.

I've used black shoe polish before on interior pieces. Outside it wouldn't last though. Must have been a harsh chemical there.

Maybe a product like 303 Aerospace Protectant???? I've had luck with it cleaning black plastics and rubbers on my car. I would consider that or Meguiar's Ultimate Black worked in with a toothbrush to get into the grain of the material.
