Default 2015eering wheel Cracked

I have a 2015 GT Premium that isn't a year old yet and where I rest my hand at 12 o'oclock the leather has peeled. Is there anything I can do to fix this besides buying a new steering wheel?

They should rewrap it under warranty. You can also use leather conditioner to keep it soft and together.

I've heard that's not covered under the warranty? Is there anything to do to fix the spot that is created?

hmm 3/36 bumper to bumper should cover that. But no once leather comes apart thats pretty much it as far as I know. An uphostry shop may be able to help you more with it. They may have a product that can do something.

I don't think that it's covered.

I don't know why it wouldn't be covered as long as you're not over the 36,000 mark. A steering wheel should not come apart in under two years and 36,000 miles. I would rise enough fuss over that one.

I would complain too,but things like interior trim and tires are not covered. It's more of the mechanical stuff.
(I had a front seat seam split on my new 1970 Chevelle within the first year,at 5k.That was my tough luck.I don't think that the industry has changed that much. The water pump also failed because the belt was too tight-that was covered.)

I'd give them bloody hell. Does your warranty specifically exclude interior trim? I didn't think so...

Look for a company like this in your area: http://vprousa.com/
A vinyl and leather repair company should be able to help you out, and most services are mobile and will come out to wherever the car is to work on it.
