Really dig the Shelby interior and want to replicate it in my s550 pp gt. any recommendations? It is my daily driver though. Will follow with red start button and the shifter ****.

Alcantara is a micro-fiber product, similar to Ultra-Suede. It is not leather, but has a similar feel to suede.

Oils and dirt from your hands can make Alcantara look really grubby after a while.

I finally ordered the gt350 steering wheel from AM. When I got it I was really disappointed. The line in the middle of the steering wheel was not straight, there was a giant wrinkle on the alkantera, and a dry upholstery glue. trying an exchange, but might just return it all together and wait till I get an actual gt350. Quality did not seem that great

A friend of mine has one of those wheels in his 2015 (+ or -) GT and after only a few years it has worn through and is already looking rather shabby so he is replacing it with an all leather option. And for the record, my friend is extremely fastidious when it comes to the care of his car it just seems that whatever kind of paper mache the alkantara steering wheel is made out of, it isn't made for the long haul of a daily driver.
