Good afternoon. Two (hopefully) simple questions about the 2005 model year:

First, is there a better replacement part for the plastic barrel-nut fasteners used in the trunk compartment to hold the interior panels in place? I bought my car new off the showroom floor and after only about a year of pretty 'gentle' use the fasteners started to come out (stripped threads) and using exact replacements didn't really help the situation. I have looked around at some non-automotive barrel nut hardware but nothing seems to be quite suited for the application.

Secondly, what is the correct lubricant to use on the passenger and driver's side door 'slides' which hold the doors in place when they are opened? Or perhaps there should be no lubricant used on them?

Thanks to all for any insights you care to share.
