The fuel pump, throttle plate, intake manifold, and since it was born a 2 barrel do I need something different for that? I don’t know. If you’ve done it before by all means holler at me. I’m a noob to the forum.

2700 best offer, I’m the 3rd owner have had this car for 4 years I was turning it into a memorial for my dad who loved them the engine and trans are rebuilt with oem parts only 27k miles on them and I’ve looked both they are not damaged from the wreck it’s just surrounding parts and front apron the car itself has 180k miles ive poured 12k into this car for someone to hit the back driver and sling me into a steel jeep bumper, insurance estimated 8000 to fix and deems it a total loss however they are not reporting it to the dmv because they can’t give me the value so the title is still clean, I no longer have the money means or tools to do it myself it would sit for years before I could touch it, insurance is obviously ****ing me so I ask that you don’t either I can arrange to have it towed to you but only for a certain amount all the damage shown is from the wreck no prior damage before then, new tires new battery plus extra parts that have not been put into the vehicle yet

New guy here!

My wife and I bought a brand new 2026 Mustang GT coupe three months ago. It is our "retirement toy" and spends most of the time in the garage. Just about 1,200 miles on it now and it is certainly a fun car to take out on a nice day. It is Adriatic Blue, has a 6-speed manual transmission, cloth seats, rear spoiler delete (it looks better without it, honestly) and is the 'base' model. No Premium Package, no Performance Package and no Active Valve Exhaust. It even has manual seats - which I prefer - so we got it at a very nice discount.

Since the Camaro and Challenger are now gone and the Corvette is automatic only (and is in a totally different class), the Mustang GT is probably the only rear-drive V8 American car that you can get with a manual transmission. It's the fifth Mustang GT coupe I ever had - following a 1988, a 1993, a 1995 and a 2008. Every one of them had a five-speed manual, but this one has a Getrag manual with six gears. It has rather tall rear axle gears, so I am turning about 2,500 at 80+ mph on the Interstate. Plenty of power and abundant torque. You can shift at 4,000 RPMs and still outpace most traffic. The fuel economy has been 16 mpg at the worst and 22 mpg at the best. I only run 93 octane premium in it, although I think that you CAN run regular if you are willing to see downgraded performance and worse fuel mileage. Better to just give it premium and drive it less frequently. I paid $4.26 at Costco - whereas it costs $4.76 to $4.90 at most other area stations. A Prius it ain't!!

The car came with Continental all-season 18" tires on it - same size on all four wheels. If you get the Performance Package, you get 19" wheels but the summer-only tires are wider in the back. That means you cannot rotate them. The Continental rubber is not nearly as "grippy" as Michelins, Pirelli or Goodyear skins, but at least I can rotate them every 5,000 miles and they might last longer. If I goose the car going around a corner, the rear end will come out faster than that of a chubby girl wearing shorts that are too small. As long as you are cognizant of that, it is still a decent handling car and fun on a windy road -- although it honestly is better suited to a straight road. I am an old guy now, but if I were thirty years younger, I might have been more interested in the Dark Horse Mustang. 500 horsepower, Tremec six-speed manual, bigger brakes, louder exhaust, wider tires, etc.

The dual touch screens are fairly nice, but I honestly would prefer fully analog gauges, dials and switches. You have to use the touch screens to turn on the A/C, mess with the stereo system, etc. If you get a Mustang with the Premium Package, you get one giant touch screen. The base model gives you two smaller ones. A nice feature with all of them is that you can change the dash layout to be one of eight different themes - my favorite being the 1967/1968 or the Fox Body theme. The worst thing about the car is the automatic stop/start feature - especially with a manual transmission. You have to press a button every time you start the engine and it will disable it. The audio system is pretty good - but to say that it is "wonky" is an understatement. It also takes a long time for your phone to sync via Bluetooth. The rear seats are a joke if you are over 5 feet tall. Front seat legroom is excellent, the cloth seats are comfortable. The side mirrors are kind of small - so I would recommend buying a set of small convex mirrors so that you don't have to crane your neck every time you want to change lanes.

The exhaust note is wonderful - albeit not as loud as you will find with the Performance Package and/or the Active Valve Exhaust. The cruise control works well, but the car does NOT have the forward sensing or adaptive system that slows you down. The rear backup camera is great - easy to see behind you. Just remember to wash the lens when you clean the car or it will be blurry. The Adriatic Blue color looks green in bright sunlight, but more of a dark blue when it is dark or overcast. I wanted Grabber Blue or Arctic White, while my wife wanted the Molten Magenta (Yuck!), so the Adriatic Blue was a compromise. She has a 2025 Camry in a color called Ocean Gem - which is quite similar.

Since I have yet to reach 1,500 miles so far, I have not really gotten down hard on it and ran it through the gears at full throttle. As was the case with a Corvette that I owned years ago, I won't ever drive this car to its fullest potential. I have a clean driver's license and want to keep it that way. Haha!! I will attach a few photos. It stays in the garage most of the time and I keep a cover over it. This grandpa loves having a clean Mustang when I do take it out of hibernation!

I've been trying to track down a leak (or more than one) from the back of my engine, I'm in the process of swapping my transmission over to a t56 so I'd like to try to fix these leaks while the old one is out. Have many people here seen the bolts from their flywheels leak? Last time I had mine out (last year to try to fix this leak - it didn't work) I used red locktight when I reinstalled the bolts, but I'm wondering if YOU PEOPLE have had any luck with teflon paste etc? Not 100% sure this is where the leak is coming from, it may be the oil pan or the rear main seal - I replaced the rear main seal last year when I had the trans out thinking that was the cause - but the oil seems to be on my transmission and not on my oil pan, that has me thinking that it could be the flywheel bolts. I also bought one of those tools to turn my oil pump with a drill, I'm thinking of trying to pressurize the system while the transmission is out to see if anything is visible. Not sure if that will work or not but figured it was worth a try since the tool cost 16 dollars lol. Any Ideas People?????

I have a 2018 GT Premium with PP1. My dog chewed on the front splitter, so he's about to turn 2 years old and I "think" that it may be safe for me to get a new splitter, but I don't want to pay OEM prices. Can you guys recommend an aftermarket replacement?

Also, I just got a decent ($4K) tax return and I want to do a couple of mods. I would like to get those "Hood Pin Locks". Does any anyone have any suggestions?

Hello. I have a 2022 Mustang Ecoboost that I bought 6 months ago, low mileage, in great condition, A/C blowing cold *but* at the same time acting crazy!

Most of the time, the A/C just blows air to my feet or to the windshield. It doesn't matter what the settings look like in the climate control screen; it seems to have its own life: sometimes it works well, and I can control it as usual.

I tried whatever I could think of: updated the entertainment system, reset it to the default settings, unplugged the battery for hours to reset any lingering settings, and replaced the battery. I still get the same behavior: sometimes it works as it should, most of the time it acts erratically.

Before taking it to Ford, does anyone have a suggestion? There are no physical climate controls, almost everything is done through the screen...

I'm looking to buy a 2017 GT and it has everything that I'm looking for. I looked up a carfax on it and it is saying at 28,000 miles the engine was checked, oil pressure was checked, engine/powertrain computer was checked, cam shafts were replaced, timing chain gears replaced, oil control valve replaced, front camshaft oil seal replaced, water pump gasket replaced, engine compression checked, ignition system checked, spark plugs replaced, intake manifold and gasket replaced. It seems to have had normal maintenance done it since then up to 76000 miles with the original owner driving it for another 30,000 miles before being sold and new owner has driven it another 16000 miles and was traded in at a dealership. What in the world happened to this engine? Should I steer clear of it or does it seem like the original issues were worked out? It makes me wonder what in the world happened to it at 28,000 miles to warrant all the replacement parts? Thank you for any input you all could provide.

bottom rust but id like to submit this for suggestions regarding the lower door skin rust.

I do not want to fully reskin the doors. The upper door skin metal is nice and straight and id hate to throw it away.

This lower door skin rust goes all the way across and actually flapps in the wind.

Im thinking about just simply cutting across to good metal then tig in a new strip of metal and crimp on the bottom and sides.

Ever seen one this bad? What did you do?

I tried to put the blue wire on the fuel pump side of the black/pink wire, then cut the fpdm side of black/pink and used it for signal, worked for a couple minutes then didnt again. No idea what to do now, all relays and fuses look fine and i already pressed the fuel pump cutt off button on drivers side to chekc if its enabled.

Red wire from 12v source by battery to the relay, then the yellow to black/pink on fpdm side
