my engine has been sitting uin the car for three years tryed to turn it ove the other day and it wouldnt budge a few days of marvel mystery ans my 300lb self with a 4ft breaker bar im now in motion so to speak! nwo the next step is wiring up the engine compartment i need pics of a 289 with idiot lights up close so i can see the routing if anyone has any pics also i need a wiring diagram of the engine wires cause ive seem to have lost my book with that info any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Exactly what pics do you need? I'll pull out my trusty camera and snap away, but I need to know which wires. Also, there are some great wiring diagrams in the FAQ. Scroll down about 3/4 of the way and you will see it.
On edit: Never mind. Here is the diagram. Hit 65 Must Zip. There are two for the 65.....the instrument panel and the engine. Use the magnifying glass at the bottom to blow it up so you can read it.

perfect! i'm gonna see if i can locate my wiring problems and patch them up so i can get the stang back on the road!
can you recommend a good wire brand to use as a bridge for something on my car? i got some shoddy stuff at some parts store and it said high heat, i think that reffered to how hot the wires got, not what it could handle. they melted themselves out and the coating dripped on my header and smelled like burning pens forever! no i didn't lay them over the header or anything warm.

OK, for my Georgia buddy, I took a bunch of shots of my 65 engine bay so you can hopefully get your wiring hooked up right. There are seveal shots, so this may take a few posts to complete.
