Burnin Out
Hey i have a 68 302 all stock except headers. From what ive read it sounds like the best way to get smoke and burn out is just punch it. Is that really bad for the car or is it ok. If thats a bad way to do it does nyone have a suggestion as to a way to do it thats easier on the car. Its an auto-matic and the e brake is working i think its the kind you just pull out with your hand.
Using the parking brake won't help you.....your car is rear wheel drive. You can powerbrake it or just punch it.
But if you want to drive like a jackass just don't do it on public streets or with people around.

What's up with everyone wanting to do burnouts in their classic cars? Unless you have unlimited cash, why bother. It tears up the car, wastes gas, tires, etc. It's a hazard and proves nothing. JMO...I still wonder. Not that I did not do it, but not in a 40 year old classic I took 2 years to build.
Its there to have fun with and at times, you need to drive it like you stole it...[sm=gears.gif]

My dad burned out by holding the brake to the floor and giving it gas, waited for the right moment and let off the brake. Now I dont have alotta experience with drum brakes so Im hesistant to try it cause it might not stop or I could hit something.
