Default Aluminum Radiators ?

Fix one thing and something else breaks lol...

Is it recommended to go with an Aluminum Radiator when replacing the stock one?

Something like this:

Aluminum rads are more efficient by design rather than material. I got one and my overheating issues stopped.

Yep. A Derale electric fan/shroud combo that fits the '65-66 rads perfectly. I can be stranded in traffic in 97 degree heat with my AC running and the engine temp stays right in the middle.

I like my aluminum radiator, but I use a mechanical flex fan with a factory shroud (on the '71). I had to do some cusomization on the mounts for the radiator and the shroud, but it fit well and looks factory...minus the color, anyway.

The one problem I found with my radiator (I think it's the Jeg's self brand...don't know who really makes it) is that it doesn't have a drain...didn't notice it until after it was in and full of coolant.[:@] Good thing I have a shop vac.
