Default engine and tranny swap

i have an 1966 coupe with the body in fairly good condition, but the engine (302) and transmission (C4) are both almost gone, i was wondering how hard i would be to get a fox body mustang and put the engine and maybe a manual transmission in it.

I was also wondering about where can i find a good crate engine at a decent price.

theres tons of swap info in the FAQsections of this site. as for a crate motor summit and jes always seems to be a good choice. P.A.W. has complete engine kits where you just assemble, which makes for alot more fun if you are mechanically inclined

Going from a auto to a stick is not just an engine swap. You have to get the entire clutch pedal assembly and then there is drive shaft length and U-joint issues.
If your mechanically inclines a way to get the parts you need is to buy a complete car from your local news paper. Then you have theentire engine/transset up and drive shaft and radiator etc., and you can hear it run. 70s-80s 302 car that’s not a mustang is cheaper than a create motor.

Take a look at my website listed below. The articles on the left are about what it takes to put a fox 5.0efi into an early model.
