Default 1967 - 1968

Ive heard you can use alot of parts off of these years on either car, so my question is does anyone know how much stuff you can interchange? because my father and I found a 68 in a junkyard thats complete but rotted pretty bad (quater panels, floors, trunk etc) but the interior is perfect and still has the motor tranny, all front end parts. Its fenders seem to be in good shape can they be used on a 67?

The reason im curious is my 67 is bare, its stripped completely down and im starting from scratch so if I could use the interior pieces and what not from the 68 that would be sweet.

ummm....well you see, a lot of the interior stuff will work, but it will appear to be 68 stuff....not 67 stuff...if you dont care then who cares? ya know? what do you want to use for your 67? yeah the fender will work, except there is one difference....on the 68's theres a side indictor light hole...i guess you could weld it up if you didnt want it. if you did, i dont think it would cost much for the lights. if you want them i have em...let me know...anyways...i dono if there is a thing on the wiring harness for them but i sorta doubt it would be too hard to fix.

be more specific of what you want to use....

Most all parts fit each other between 67 and 68.
68 had a few different parts, steering wheel, Side marker lights in rear quarter, etc. But the parts fit each other. The car is a Falcon underneath, and falcon parts fit also.
If the car (68) has a title, Remove the vin tag and inner fenders(vin on top)and radiator bracket(vin on left side)and save if you find a good 68 with no title the vin parts can be put on the car with no title and Taaa Daa, you have a titled 68 with matching vin no's.

Ok heres what I'd like to use
Fenders
Bumpers
Most front end parts(things around headlights etc)
Mirrors
Windows
Seat pans front and back
Seat tracks
Shifter, boot, and maybe petals I forget the condition of them
Seat Belts
All chrome trim around windows and what not
Wiring Harness (if possible)
Handles, window cranks
Wiper motors

Thats all I can think of that I could use...If I think of anything else ill be sure to add it.

But as I said the body isnt worth crap other than the fenders so I plan to part out all other things I dont use and send the rest to the scrap yard.

Your miss understanding. Not the parts just the vin numbers. But what are the chances of you finding a 68 with no title.

okay all will work i believe and the things that are just going to be differnt for small reasons are the fenders, mirrors (i think), handles and window cranks....

the rest should be the same i think...not positive about seatbelts or shifter but i think so...just google some pictures of 67's and 68's and compare.

Thats what I figured but if I get it and the stuff is different I can always sell them on ebay. Im more concerned about the fenders, seats, glass, etc.

But for the seats all I need is the frame and track for them I have the foam and covers for the 67 model.

i wouldnt wanna reuse the wiring harness, something like that it is sometimes better to just buy a whole new kit. its like insurance, like buying a new waterpump when you overhaul the engine

and i thought you said the body is worthless, so why do you want to use the doors and floors?
