What a great deal!! I just paid:

$10.50 + 1.75 s/h = $12.25

for this:

There were also ones for the 66, 68, and 69.... but I don't think the 68 and 69 even sold... you could'a had it for less thank 10 bucks + s/h of 1.75.

I just had to get up early because my son is up earlier than he usually is and I was just groggily browsing around. MAN I love great little deals when I'm not even looking for them![sm=happy046.gif]

If this fella is making copies and selling them why not post the data for everyone to download?

You sure? Ebay is pretty strict on that. I ended up getting some bogus Adobe Suite cd's last year. They banned his account.

It looked to me like it was just a copy with a printed label stamped on it. It may be that the copyright on the original manual is up so he is allowed to make copies. In which case sharing it wouldn't in anyway be illegal. Let me know when you get it.

So just by the pictures how would you be able to tell it was a copy with a printed label? I would think that you could put an original copy right next to it and if it had been scanned and printed on a printable disc they would be the exact same right? You must have a good eye.

It does have this in his listing
Our Products are fully licensed and approved by Ford Motor Company! Beware of any manuals that are not fully licensed by Ford.
You'd have to have ***** the size of a frickin truck to put that in your adds when Ebay has all the papertrail back to this guy if Ford decides it's a scam.

The label and the insert appeared as thought they were printed on plain paper, not a high gloss paper. The second thing was the design of the label it seemed very generic in design. Third was the fact that it looked like an actual label, most cd stamping operations (how cd's are made on a large scale) do a direct priting to the surface of the disc. And most often (99% of the time) when a label is direct printed the inner most clear portion of the disc (near the center) where the data is not present is usually left clear, where as labels will cover this secton. This doesnt go to mention that scams run rampant on ebay. And the Ford label does not reassure anything. It could be the original print was a ford product and they can say that if the copyright is up. I actually read a new report this morning saying Ford claims to loose 1 billion a year in false products.

Whether its an official product or not is not necessarily relevant, if the information is there its still a great price. It jsut seemed as though it was a copy in which case having it somewhere for download would be a great resource.

There was a link floating around here last year to a '66 manual someone had online to download. Obviously illegal.

I understand what your saying. My only contention is that I'm trusting it's a legal copy. The thing about online buying is that your never going to be really able to tell until you get it you know? Anyone can copy anything nowdays. So... unless you absolutely know because you know the guy or you know it's a reported scam... then hows a guy to know?.. ya know.

I do have a hard copy of the shop manual... though the cover's come off and I need to reglue the spine. To have it on CD will be great. I think Glen's got one.

That way I can just look up what I want to work on.... print a copy of a page or five and take it out to the garage with me, not worrying if it get's all crapped up with oil/grease or whatever.

I just bought the 1967 one from detroit irons. It is 100% legal. The only thing is some of the pages aren't printed in 100% clairity.
