I'm soooooooo glad, the sorry "sag" look of the car is gone!!!

Since it's never going to be a showcar, just a cool daily driver, I decided against "beautifying" the underbelly cosmetically, but all the metal is pretty solid with some minor surface rust here and there, no rotted frames, panels, holes, or anything, good enough for me.

Up next, the wheels and tires, I'll show pictures soon!

Wadda ya guys think?

Looks good - I'm doing my front end this winter. What did you use to paint the suspension parts?

Looks sweet. I hope you are going to take care of that surface rust?

Galactusz,

How is the clearance with the exhaust pipes running over the axle and the rear brake lines?? I just redid my brake lines and can see that there might be some issues with clearance when I install the same exhaust system...

Did you install the exhaust yourself? I've got mine sitting in the box and was debating whether to tackle the install or just let the muffler shop do it because they have to fab up the connecting pipes to the headers anyway.

Hey guys, thanks!

Ok, Palerider, the suspension kit came like that from Mustang Plus, all black-coated.

Hity645, I'll show pictures soon, the new wheels and tires have not been placed yet.

Grimm, yes, the surface rust will be taken care of, it's minor, but as we all know, cancer is no good.

68SCode4speed, the clearance is tight, but you can cut and twitch the pipes to your liking during the installation process, done right, the clrearance will be fine, btw, those Magnaflows sound soooooo cool, not obnoxious at all, just a nice throaty sound, I love em'.

Gothand, I suggest take them to the muffler shop, the pipes do need a bit of fabrication, and for me, a slight welding job was needed as well, and that's what I did, they did an excellent job, and like I said before, you are gonna love the sound of the Magnaflows.

Thanks for your questions!

looking good!!
I just blew my budget out of the waterfinishing the exhaust on my 66. What cost me extra was the bends and welding around the tranny deep pan,and the extra flanges on the muffler outlets for easy removal of the system.

For 68Scode, all the experienced shops I spoke with indicated limiting the exhaust size to 2 1/4 to make the bend over the rear end easier. They said, anything largerkinks the pipes, because it's a very tight bend.
