im putting on my rotors for my granada disc brake swap and am having an extremly difficlut time putting them on [:@]. does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? and i noticed my drums didn't even have dust caps so i was also wondering, how necessary are they with discs?

you want them there to keep trash out the bearings sometimes they can be a booger if uve bent them(whheret they go in at, go pick upsome new ones just put them in place and whack them with a hammer

Use a pipe or large socket as a mandrel. The mandrel should fit over the cap, but not the cap flange.

Definitely need dust caps on any type of brake. They should be kinda hard to get on, otherwise they'd fall off...

Im soon to dismantle my front brake assembly, so the dust caps just house grease? When I put the new ones on, I should fill it and then put them on?

No, No, No!!! Do not put grease in your dust caps. Just grease the bearings, put them back in with the big nut and retaining washer and cotter pin. Then tap them on. I use a big rubber mallet and gently tap them on, but using a big socket with work too. Yes, they fit tight. They are supposed to. And, they are necessary to keep out water, dirt and mud from your bearings, so they are an absolute necessity.

ok i was able to finda perfect size pipe laying around in my garage and it worked very well.
