Engine bay almost done!

Default Engine bay almost done!

Starting blasting engine bay last week. - Only way to go for stripping old paint off. Taking off Monday to finish it up.Will post some pics when done.

nice. but i see some stuff you shouldve taken off first.

i personally wouldve taken off the idler arm bracket and motor mounts. i dont like when bolts get painted over. [:'(]. especially on engines. thats why i dont like stock engines cause they just paint the whole damn thing a single color.

Is everything as solid as it looks? It looks like it's in really good condition.

Everything is pretty solid.I did find that both hood mounts (inner fender well) were patched - i"m guessin the hood flipped off at some point and was repaired. I probably could have taken a few more parts off. But even though I'm prety picky I felt this was good enough.

wow i cant beleive the battery tray isnt completely corroded away. mine is toast. i need the replace it.

I replaced the tray - pretty easy job. Did not line p as well as I'd like though. Hopefully it all goes back together alright. I'm going to strip and give to paint guy to paint and put back together. Only paint I' trust myse;f to do is the engine bay.

done - eventualyy I need to get the stones to put cowl back. In ansy case major milestone completed.
