Default all new parts !

Hi all,

I order a _huge_ list of parts from the states, which all arrived this morning.
I had to go to work (should have pulled a sicky), so I haven't unpacked anything yet.

I got:
rear axle housing 9" for 65 model,
Ford racing 3.50:1 track loc diff (31 spline)
moser axles
disc brakes for the back
all new break lines
diskbrakeswap (swap.2) (disc brakes, spindles, dual master)
shocks for the back
monte carlo bar and export brace
new wheels (15"x7 cragar quick trick I). they look great, but are steel. Couldn't afford alloys
and last but no least: A rebuild T5 from a 89 mustang with shifter and adapter kit (crossbrace, adapter plate, etc)
and a bunch of small parts, like wheel bolts, u-bolts, u-joints ....
All in all 30cubic feet and 550 pounds :-)

I'm looking forward to tonight and the next few weekends. It'll be loadsa fun !
I'm quite sure I'll open a lot of threads in the near future: how do I? and where does this bolt go kinda questions

same here. usually i get a cable here and a switch there.
But as I had to get the rear axle in and organise all the shipping I thought it might be cheaper in the long run to get all oversized parts in at the same time. Although this is a momentarily killer. huge money. Will have hours of fun putting all that in though :-]

You have patience to wait for parts like that, but I guess yo have to. There are tabs at the top of the forum that are labeled new post, just hit that and bingo, off you go.

What kind of reaction do you get from people with your car in Ireland ?

all sorts :-)
ranging from
- envy (people p1ssed off because they bought a 100.000$ sports car and the girlfriend prefers mine)
- how much did that cost ? 500.000 Euro?
- thumbs up
- girls starting to sing "mustang sally" when you pass

what I was surprised most about is that I never get challenged at a traffic light. don't get me wrong, I don't want to race. But they either think that car is a dinosaur (slow as ****), or they think it's the ultimate race car (most would beat me hands down)
I guess Playstation and Xbox helped educating that one ;-)

love it, best fun ever.

My guess is your delivery man is seriously cussing you

Have fun putting all that in.

And I thought I ordered a lot of parts today when I ordered a headlight wire harness plus new parklights with related retainers, gaskets, lenses, etc. Got lucky and found time I wouldn't normally have to put the new dashpad in on Tuesday night so it was time for me to move onto the next step in my overall plan.

Quick Performance makes good stuff, mine works great! It didn't come with the 3rd member gasket though...
