Default pcv question

Its getting late im tired... Ive searched several sites and cant find a good answer. Heres my problem.
I swapped in a late model 5.0 roller motor into my 68 mustang. everything is working great. my problem is im not using a spacer plate under the carb. Im running a 4100 autolite on top of a weiand stealth intake so with the Ford racing low profile air cleaner i got about 3/8" of clearance for the hood. i got the breather hooked up on the driver side up under the air cleaner no problem. now the pcv line is just kinda riding along. I have a couple of threaded ports on the intake i could use. Im just wondering if any one tried to just hook up to the intake instead of the carb plate. my worry is losing vacuum. with the gt40p heads and b303 cam and dual plane high rise intake vacuum is my concern. ive rebuilt this motor from scratch. i dont have any oil pushing out or vent problems now. just thought it seems right to vent it into the system. any thoughts?

You'll be fine tapping it directly into the intake. When you plug it into the carb, it is below the throttle plate anyways.....vacuum is vacuum. You may want to find a place where it dumps it it "evenly though, and not just all on one cylinder. (if possible)

Thats a smart idea with the not placing the vacuum on one cylinder... hmm. I had noticed too that there was an easy pick on the runner to #4 cylinder but your idea has me shying away from that notion. I wonder if i could just drill and tap my own fitting just below the carb in the rear of the plenium without distorting air flow? im saying this because if you look under a base plate the pcv entrance kinda flows around the baseplate evenly. thanks for the idea.
